About

Fetch RTLS combines Ultrasound and RF to deliver the best-of-breed RTLS system. This precision technology enables Fetch to deliver 100% department, room, sub-room or bed level accuracy.

Like thunder and lightning, the time difference of arrival (TDOA) between the tag's ultrasonic chirp and radio signals can measure locator-to-tag distance to the nearest inch. This highly accurate location information is critical to reliably drive automated workflow systems such as asset management, patient flow, capacity management, bed management, staff scheduling, infection surveillance systems and more.

Wifi and Zigbee relies only on RF, which can penetrate walls and floors. Infrared can pass through glass and can be affected by bright sun and fluorescent lights. Only ultrasound can remain within the boundaries of a room, but ultrasound alone lacks the precision to determine distance for sub-room level positioning. Fetch is a hybrid Ultrasound and RF system. Like thunder and lightning, Fetch uses the difference in the speed of sound and light (RF) to accurately calculate the distance and angularity between the tag and locator to determine sub-room level positioning. Fetch can deliver location precision of about 18" when needed.

Only consistent results with 100% certainty can drive meaningful workflow." "

" "Key Benefits of Fetch:
• Accurate location information with 100% room, sub-room, or bed-level accuracy.

• Virtual wall capability with 18" precision accuracy, critical to separate areas within a room without physical walls.

• Fast, flexible, and ease of installation. System installation requires no wiring.

• Seamless integration with CheckPoint, the best-of-breed Wireless Temperature Monitoring solution.

• Customer's choice of three easy ways to communicate location data back to customer data center:

• Over the facility's WiFi network

• Distributed Antenna System (DAS).

• 900 MHz repeater / access point backbone

" "Tag:
• Asset, patient and staff tags are customizable with transmission rates of 3-5 seconds

• Battery life of 2 to 4 years depending on use case

• Motion sensor in each tag updates location immediately upon movement

• Robust tags are made of tough polycarbonate with a stainless steel grill, are resistant to liquid and can be wipe-down sanitized with any common hospital cleaning solution to assist in infection prevention.

• Software-configurable push button enables triggering of workflow alerts or messaging

• Patent pending Snap Swap™ tag electronics can be changed on an asset without changing its ID in the software, and provides tamper detection.

• Range of 30-60 feet

" "Locator:
• Captures both distance and angle to tags for accurate location determination.

• A locator in each room will determine room level accuracy with 100% certainty.

• One locator can cover up to 80 feet of a hallway

• Installs in minutes on ceiling tile rail with sliding tabs, or on wall

• Battery powered (3-4 year life), 100% wireless and no network drop is needed

• A single Room Divider Locator can split a room or area into left and right zones

• Capable of RF-only (RSSI) triangulation for section-level granularity in areas where room level accuracy is not needed.

• Patent pending Snap Swap ™ locator can be changed without changing its ID in the software

Proximity Locator with passive RFID reader
• Captures RF transmission from Fetch tags at degrees points for loss prevention

• Captures passive RFID tags at egress points with a 5 meter range

• Count, identify and report all assets with tag or UHF label on a cart when cart is rolled within 3 feet of locator

" "Repeaters and Fetch Access Points
• Fetch Access Points, typically installed in data closets, capture signals from locators and send to the server.

• Repeaters can bridge the signals if an Access Point is not within transmission range of a locator. A repeater is line powered and does not require a network drop.

• Fetch and CheckPoint customers can leverage the same Repeater and Access Point wireless infrastructure.

Location Engine and Application Software:
The accurate location data from the Fetch Location Engine software drives the application software. The application software provides you with clear enterprise visibility to efficiently manage assets, patients and staff and to optimize work flow.
