CheckPoint is an automated, wireless, computerized remote temperature monitoring, recording and alert system to replace chart recorders, data loggers and manual temperature log reports for refrigeration and freezer temperatures. The software program is designed to meet HACCP, ISO 17025, USDA, FDA, and regulatory requirements. The system installs on an existing PC and comes complete with installation, training and support for a total quality solution.
CheckPoint is currently installed in many meat and poultry plants across the country. At a USDA inspected poultry processing plant in Turlock, CA., over 30 processing rooms, blast freezers and storage areas are monitored 24/7. The CheckPoint system also tracks and documents the cook-chilled product temperatures to meet USDA regulations.

| Water-proof wireless sensors designed to withstand the chemical wash-downs and harsh food processing environment are suspended in the very center of the processing rooms to track the temperatures of the areas where the products are actually processed. |

Waterproof cabled probes are immersed to constantly track and record the temperature of the process water throughout the plant. Alerts are suppressed during scheduled daily wash-down and cleanout periods for particular equipment and processing rooms to prevent the occurrence of false alerts.
Whenever a temperature problem is detected anywhere in the plant, CheckPoint fires immediate email and text message alerts to the designated QA manager describing the reason for the alert. If the cause is mechanical, the engineering department can then view the same data on their PC to determine the cause of the problem. The series of corrective actions taken to resolve the particular alert by each department are fully documented for later review.

Both air and product temperatures inside the blast freezer are constantly monitored for quality assurance, productivity gain and energy savings.
Insulated wireless Product Temperature Tracking probes are placed inside the –35° F blast freezer to track the product core temperature during the freezing process. Real time monitoring increases productivity and reduces the electric energy costs. The daily report can be presented to the customer as product temperature verification.

In the cook plant, CheckPoint continuously monitors and records the product temperature during both the cooking process in the oven and the following chill down process in the blast chiller. Color coded real time product temperature of every product batch can be viewed on the PC, and at the end of each shift, a summarized report will show the cook-chill profile of all products to be in compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulations.
CheckPoint manages all the temperature needs of a processing plant, from storage to end product temperatures, and all the information is made available in real time on a single PC.
CheckPoint has reduced the QA manager's workload of preparing detailed temperature maintenance report for the monthly meeting by several hours, and adherence to the HACCP temperature standards has been enhanced. |
